About Me

From film school to the manufacturing sector in southeast Michigan, I have always found a way to create stimulating digital content with any subject matter. For over 6 years, I have used my unique skillset to develop engaging digital content and evolve the marketing strategy of new and existing brands.

2014

At Eastern Michigan University, I earned my degree in Electronic Media and Film Studies, with a minor in Graphic Communication. I completed internships at the Michigan Theater's Young Filmmakers Camp as an instructor, and at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival as a digital marketing intern. Fresh out of college, I entered the Ypsi 24-Hour Film Shootout competition, and was quickly offered freelance work by the Ypsilanti Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

2015 - 2016

I was hired as the Content Marketing Manager for the broader Washtenaw County Convention and Visitor's Bureau, producing photos, videos, and blogs for the Ypsi Real and Visit Ann Arbor brands.

We saw great success on social media with original content for both brands:

2017- 2018

As the Digital Marketing Strategist for Burke Architectural Millwork (BAM), we aimed to re-introduce the art of woodworking and furniture fabrication to a new generation. I lead the vision and strategy for BAM's online portfolio, and utilized organic and paid social media marketing to grow and retain social media followers, which we not only used to bring awareness to the fulfilling opportunities in skilled trades, but also to seek out partners for potential projects. My efforts on social media helped draw clients that BAM is still working with today.

Fall 2018

I accepted a short-term contract position with Schoolcraft College where I saw the breadth of the skilled trades gap firsthand. The purpose of my role was to use social media marketing to increase awareness for Schoolcraft’s apprenticeship programs and the careers waiting for students upon completion. I will always remember my time learning from the educators and students who will inevitably be the future of manufacturing in Michigan. From students who had previously lost hope in their education but found purpose in the trades to returning citizens who were given a second chance at success, these students highlighted how skilled trades can be a lifeline to so many.

Winter 2018 - Present

My skillset continues to evolve as the Digital Marketing Manager for the Detroit Regional Chamber where I manage the web content and digital strategy for detroitchamber.com, detroitpromise.com, and michauto.org. I am also the head of video and podcast content to engage our membership, and consistently manage vendor relations for external video projects and web development as needed.
